A Gathering of Young Minds in Lapu-Lapu City
From July 7 to 14, 2024, the bustling city of Lapu-Lapu became the epicenter of youth empowerment as Learners' Convergence PH 2024 (#GalingKabataan) brought together over 1,800 student leaders from various regions across the country. Organized by the local government unit (LGU) and the Mayor, this highly anticipated event aimed to unite young minds, foster leadership, and promote the development of student organizations under the inspiring theme: “Pagsulong nang may Tatag, Pagtaguyod ng Lipunang Maunlad” (Progress with Strength, Upholding a Prosperous Society)A Stage for Inspiration and Growth
The event was graced by notable personalities, including Sarah Duterte and Imee Marcos, who delivered motivational speeches during the opening ceremony. Their words resonated with the audience, reinforcing the power of youth in shaping the nation's future. The enthusiastic response from participants echoed the event’s rallying cry: "Galing Kabataan!" (Greatness of the Youth!)
