Here We Go Again! Agay NHS Sparkles in Mamma Mia-Themed Acquaintance Party 2026

A weekend of fashion, leadership, and unyielding talent proves that compliance with DepEd’s "No disruption of classes" policy only makes the celebration sweeter.

Transforming a regular weekend into a vibrant celebration of unity, talent, and youth leadership, Agay National High School (Agay NHS) successfully mounted its highly anticipated Acquaintance Party 2026. Held on a Saturday in strict adherence to the Department of Education’s (DepEd) "No disruption of classes" policy, the event proved that academic diligence and high-energy fun can go hand in hand.

Red Carpet Glamour and Heartfelt Welcomes

The day opened with a showcase of style as students from Grade 7 through Grade 12 strutted down the runway to show off their best outfits, followed by the stylish entry of the Agay NHS faculty. Once the fashion showcase concluded, the formal opening program commenced with a solemn Opening Prayer and the nationalistic pride of the National Anthem.

Setting a warm tone for the day, Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) President Angel Hannah S. Amam delivered an inspiring welcome message, urging her fellow students to build lasting connections. School Principal III Elizaldy S. Chavit followed with an empowering inspirational address, encouraging the student body to nurture camaraderie while pursuing academic excellence throughout the school year.

Leaders Stepping into the Spotlight

A major highlight of the day was the Induction and Recognition Ceremony, celebrating the school's newly minted student leaders. Special guest SK Chairman Nikki Jan Angel of Poblacion 2 officiated the induction of the newly elected SSLG Officers, formally entrusting them with the duty of student governance.

"Leadership is about service and bringing out the best in the school community."

The momentum continued with the formal introduction and recognition of club officers and classroom officers across all grade levels, underscoring their vital roles and responsibilities in maintaining a vibrant, active campus life.

Rhythms, Surprises, and Live Music

When it came to entertainment, Agay NHS delivered in full force. The stage came alive with breathtaking dance numbers by the Grade 7 & 8 SPA (Special Program in the Arts), Grade 9 & 10 SPA, and the senior Grade 11 & 12 students.

Adding an unexpected twist to the program, the faculty members stole the spotlight with a surprise On-the-Spot Dance Presentation, earning roaring applause from the crowd. To officially open the socialization phase, the SSLG Officers hit the stage with a special dance routine, handing over the energy to the school live band, whose performance had the entire student body singing and dancing along.

Mamma Mia Magic, Safety, and Behind-the-Scenes Dedication

Visually, the event felt straight out of a Mediterranean dream. The main stage was transformed into a gorgeous Mamma Mia-inspired setting, brought to life through the creative talents of Sir Daniel Socayre and Sir Ian Berbana, working hand-in-hand with the SSLG Officers.

Beyond the aesthetics, safety and order remained top priorities:

  • Gate Security: SSLG Officers meticulously conducted one-by-one attendance checking at the main entrance.

  • Community Partnership: Officers from the Remedios T. Romualdez (RTR) Philippine National Police (PNP) were present throughout the venue, ensuring a peaceful, secure, and well-organized atmosphere for everyone involved.

A Picture-Perfect Ending

As the socialization drew to a close, the final segment honored the people behind the curtain. Expressions of deep gratitude and recognition were extended to the hard-working organizers, supportive sponsors, dedicated teachers, and enthusiastic students who made the event a resounding triumph.

The Acquaintance Party 2026 concluded with a festive photo session—capturing bright smiles, new friendships, and shared memories that will set a positive tone for the rest of the academic year.
