Before the morning sun could fully pierce the horizon over Agay National High School, the campus grounds were already humming with restless energy. At 5:00 AM on September 30, 2026, sleepiness was swiftly replaced by excitement as students gathered for the long-awaited Science and Math Celebration: Color Me Run 2026. What unfolded over the following hours was a vibrant fusion of physical fitness, camaraderie, and intellectual fervor that transformed the school into a living canvas.
The morning kicked off with high-energy warm-up exercises led by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers, setting a upbeat tempo for the crowd. Before the runners took to the track, officers from the PNP RTR took the stage to share brief yet crucial reminders regarding safety and proper sportsmanship. Moments later, laughter echoed across the grounds as the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) unleashed a refreshing pre-run water shower, cooling down the eager participants before the main event officially began.
As the air cleared, the runners surged forward into a seven-station course, with each stop introducing a brand-new shade of pigment. Each station was expertly managed by a different school club, whose members cheered on the runners, directed traffic, and drenched passing students in clouds of vivid color. From bright yellows to deep blues, the route became a swirling spectrum of teamwork and school spirit. Crossing the final stretch, the colorful runners regrouped at the main grounds, where the BFP greeted them with a second sweeping water blast to wash away the heat and celebrate their finish.
The momentum didn't stop at the finish line. The Special Program in the Arts (SPA) students took center stage, leading the crowd in an exhilarating Zumba session that kept everyone moving. Once the heart rates settled, intellectual spark took over as Sir Chris Rosales hosted the Science and Math Trivia. Students eagerly matched wits, answering rapid-fire questions that put their academic savvy to the test in a lively, competitive atmosphere.
The celebration also paid tribute to student talents across various disciplines. Excitement peaked during the awarding ceremony for the Laro ng Lahi traditional games champions, alongside the recognition of the top artists from the Slogan and Poster Making contests held the previous day, September 29.
The day concluded with a massive photo-taking session, capturing hundreds of multi-colored, smiling faces against the backdrop of the school. Beyond the medals, trivia answers, and splashes of paint, the 2026 Science and Math Celebration stood as a powerful testament to what Agay National High School does best: uniting students, SSLG leaders, and vibrant school clubs through health, creativity, and the joy of shared learning.
